Sandboxie 3.30

When you run a program on your computer, data flows from the hard disk to the program via read operations. The data is then processed and displayed, and finally flows back from the progam to the hard disk via write operations.

For example, if you run the Freecell program to play a game, it starts by reading the previously recorded statistics, displaying and altering them as you play the game, and finally writing them back to disk for future reference.

Sandboxie changes the rules such that write operations do not make it back to your hard disk.

The illustration shows the key component of Sandboxie: a transient storage area, or sandbox. Data flows in both directions between programs and the sandbox. During read operations, data may flow from the hard disk into the sandbox. But data never flows back from the sandbox into the hard disk.

If you run Freecell inside the Sandboxie environment, Sandboxie reads the statistics data from the hard disk into the sandbox, to satisfy the read requested by Freecell. When the game later writes the statistics, Sandboxie intercepts this operation and directs the data to the sandbox.

If you then run Freecell without the aid of Sandboxie, the read operation would bypass the sandbox altogether, and the statistics would be retrieved from the hard disk.

The transient nature of the sandbox makes it is easy to get rid of everything in it. If you were to throw away the sandbox, by deleting everything in it, the sandboxed statistics would be gone for good, as if they had never been there in the first place.
Sandboxie and the Web

Protecting your Freecell statistics using Sandboxie may be a good idea when a less qualified player comes along, but you will probably want to play most of your games outside the sandbox. On the other hand, you may want to run your Web browser inside the sandbox most of the time. This way any incoming, unsolicited software (spyware, malware and the like) that you download, is trapped in the sandbox. Changes made to your list of Favorites or Bookmarks, hijacking of your preferred start page, new and unwanted icons on your desktop — all these, and more, are trapped in and bound to the sandbox.

You could also try a new toolbar add-on, browser extension or just about any kind of software. If you don’t like it, you throw away the sandbox, and start again with a fresh sandbox. On the other hand, if you do like the new piece of software, you can re-install it outside the sandbox so it becomes a permanent part of your system.

Sandboxie intercepts changes to both your files and registry settings, making it virtually impossible for any software to reach outside the sandbox.

Sandboxie traps cached browser items into the sandbox as a by-product of normal operation, so when you throw away the sandbox, all the history records and other side-effects of your browsing disappear as well.

The Alternative

Sandboxie is free so you really don’t have to look around for an alternative. If you find it makes your Web experience that much safer, you are encouraged to register the program for a small fee. However, if you still don’t like or can’t use Sandboxie for whatever reason, here are some alternatives.
Anti-Virus Software, Anti-Spyware Tools

These tools scan your computer files and registry settings looking for known viruses and unsolicited software (spyware). Such tools can only remove viruses and spyware they can identify, and usually only after that software has made its way into your computer. Contrast this with the Sandboxie approach, which keeps the viruses and spyware trapped in the sandbox, and makes them disappear when you throw away the sandbox.
Untrusted Browsing

The ActiveX mechanism lets Web sites run little programs in your computer. These are mostly well-natured programs, for example automatic download managers or automatic toolbar installation. Some not-so-well-natured Web sites use this mechanism to install spyware into your computer. You could browse with ActiveX disabled (by turning it off, or by switching to a browser that doesn’t offer support for ActiveX), but you would be trading security over functionality. With Sandboxie, you can keep ActiveX turned on, and have both security and functionality.

Plot

Far away in a distant town, there was once a young man named Aditya, Brought up by a foster family, Aditya was unaware of his real identity and the destiny that awaited him. Ever since he was a child, a recurring nightmare haunted him. And when he woke up in fright, there was no one he could ever hold on to except for a magical BlueCross petal that came wafting in the wind, never failing to make him smile through his tears.

Somewhere far, an evil sorcerer, Riz Raizada, a descendant of the asuras (legendary demons) had become dangerously impatient, in his thirst for the precious secret. The secret, which was the missing link, in this grand plan of taking over the universe. To get to the secret, he'd have to defeat the Drona. And herein, lay his problem. He didn't know who or where the Drona was! One sudden day Aditya and Riz came face to face and Riz immediately recognized him as the Drona.

Aditya's destiny had caught up with him and his life was about to take him on a journey he had never imagined. Aditya couldn't comprehend why Riz's men were hunting him down. Just when he was about to be captured, a cult that believed that The Drona was their Messiah came to his rescue. Sonia, the leader of the cult, revealed Aditya's real identify to him. Baffled, Aditya found it all too hard to believe. Having no time to lose, Sonia decided to take Aditya back to his place of birth, the ancient kingdom of Pratapgarh where his mother, Queen Jayanti Devi would have all the answers to his questions. But before he could embrace his mother, Riz and his army of the darkest powers caught up with him and did some things to him.

Aditya would now have to rise to the occasion and embrace his destiny. For the sake of mankind he would have to become the legendary warrior he was born to be. Drona. Thus began Drona's journey through myths and legends. Along with Sonia, he would fight the evil spells of the absolutely lethal Riz Raizada. By battling odds, he would discover skills that he never knew he had. But would his fears catch up with him? Would the nightmares from his childhood come in the way of his epic journey? As good and evil clash in this contemporary fantasy fable, a breathtaking adventure beckons you into a world of mythic heroes and malicious magicians, of enchanted lands and life altering choices, of cunning curses and absolute innocence. The movie starts in a different manner unlike others, which depicts the suffering of the hero in his jail tenure in forms of sketches. By seeing that one comes to know how much the poor chap had suffered and is filled with utmost hatred with the person who had put him behind the bars. The movie has the same old stuffs with the same old storyline. There is nothing new or interesting in Kidnap to watch. It has the same zest as we saw in the movie 'Zinda'. It has the same old revenge seeking formula. One does something wrong in childhood and repents for it later in his adulthood. The tag line, "Bachpan ki karne, aur Jawani mein bharni" surely goes the way. The theme of the movie is clearly understood by its name; 'Kidnap'. The plot revolves around a girl named Sonia (Minissha Lamba) who lives with her mother, Mallika (Vidya Malvade) because when she was ten years old her parents got divorced. Few days prior to her birthday, she gets kidnapped by Kabir Sharma (Imran Khan). The kidnapper is interested in talking only to her father, Vikrant Raina (Sanjay Dutt) who is filthy rich, with whom the kidnapper has to settle some old dues. Vikrant has to follow a particular set of rules laid by the kidnapper in order to free his daughter. The twist is that the kidnapper gives Vikrant clues in will help him get closer to his daughter. The movie kick-starts with a song which dares to bare Minissha in bikinis and two pieces. All throughout the movie one gets to see for the first time — Minissha Lamba in her sexy and seductive avatar. The clues which are given by Imran are good and is obediently followed by Sanjay Dutt. Though one finds some mistakes in it too. Sanjay owns cash worth $51 Billion. Imran tells Sanjay to reach Panvel station at a given time to find the clue to which Sanjay says it is not possible in such a peak time. Imran then tells him to fly and come but Sanjay (please note again: $51 billion owner) cannot afford a helicopter (it seems) and instead robs other people's cars and bikes to reach his destination. We get to see some very some very strange bonding and emotional conversations between the Minissha and Sanjay when they get to see each other (both handcuffed) It seems that Minissha had been offered the role in this movie only to expose (which she did a little too much). The interesting part is that one gets to see Minissha in all the more revealing clothes after she is been kidnapped (who on Earth will do that); and that did attract Imran towards her. The movie did have some good camera work. The sequence shot in the jail was worth praise. Talking about the characters in the movie; Sanjay was impressive. Imran played his character well and fitted into the role. He did prove he is a typical 'Khan' and has a long way to go. Vidya too was worth a watch. Minissha gave a direct message to actresses who have revealed and gained praises that she is no less and as surely joined the queue. The music of the film is strictly ok, apart from a few songs like Mit Jaaye, Hey Ya, Mausam. The action sequence is good specially Imran jumping phenomenon. Sanjay Gadhvi has not at all done justice to his work and small mistakes are in plenty. We expected more of quality work from him. First half of the movie is tolerable but the second half irritates you to the core. It can be clearly felt that the movie is being dragged without a point. All in the entire movie fails to grab an attention and has in no sense done justice to the hypes created.

Cluck, cluck, Drona sucks. It’s a colossal waste of precious crores which could have been allocated to the Bigg Boss inmates who’re happy with mere lakhs. In fact, here’s a pathetic hotch-‘n’-potch — a manic Indiana Jaanam, Harish Potter, Bored of the Rings and Starved Wars. The farce be with you.

Frankly, it’s the worst movie in decades, fighting for the Rotten Tomato Award with Ram Gopal Varma ka Ugh. Goldie Behl ka Drona demonstrates that just getting half-saleable actors and easily impressed production honchos (what were the Lullas of Eros Entertainment thinking of?) are sufficient reason to drive you cashews. The nut fest moves from modern-day Czechoslovakia and Prithviraj Chauhan-time Rajasthan to a bygone-era Morocco. Here a dwarf goes hee-haw-hee till you want the li’l fellow to shut-up-please. Quease.

Worse, you quiver because of at least five travesties. First: Jaya Bachchan shows up in a scary special appearance. A brand ambassador, it would seem, for Rajasthan Cottage Emporium’s Ila Arun-style ghagras, she gets hysterical about meeting an estranged son (like she always does) and makes a speech (careful, careful) about how the world must be saved. And presto, she turns into a statue in a disco pose. How Shiamak Davar! Instead of being immediately exhibited at the Louvre, this Putli bai stands for days in the deserts. No one comes to see her though.

Second, the special effects often look like electronic varicose veins. And hey, keep your smelling salts ready on sighting the baddy maddy (Kay Kay Menon, insufferable with a gelled Eiffel Tower on his scalp). Campy Eiffel parodies Mogambo Puri and even creates a candle wax version of himself just in case the electricity goes off. Honestly, this dude’s as funny as Johnny Lever-Jaspal Bhatti-Priyadarshan-Abha-Dhaba-Rabba-Guddi. Alas, unintentionally.

Third, our hero Drona Groana (Abhishek Bachchan, portly, hopelessly miscast) is a shockingly weak. He’s tormented and tormented till you want to torment him too. Infectious. To his rescue, finally arrives a la-di-dah bodyguard (Priyanka Chopra, carrying more knives than dear Jaya Bachchanji in Zanjeer). More weakling’s aids: blue rose petals, a tired white horse, a monk with a ticklish beard and a nun sweeter than a cherry bun. Fun? Forget it.

Four, it’s not quite what clear sort of powers are enabled by a mithai box-like bracelet. It should turn our Drona into Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Krrish, Shrek, Nemo, Mimoh, you get the drift. But it doesn’t. Awwww.

Five, the songs are hit-and-run cases. The dialogue is obsessive about the word “shristhti” perhaps in a homage to the co-producer? The photography is blotchy. And the ending hints at a sequel. Hide in your cupboards already!

Like it or not, Drona is artless, arrogant, brazenly derivative and terribly acted by one and all (except for that puckish dwarf maybe). Behl toys around with special effects which have been served by Hollywood’s sword-and-sorcery epics decades ago. Truly, throughout you suffer, feel like a blue petal and sob about the state of cinema today. RIP.

How now. Here’s a Shamita Shetty cabaret meant for extraterrestrials, not for this planet’s kids or adults. Goons break into dirty lingo (bleep-bleeped by the censors but still). And there’s much nudge-nudge-wink-wink about a kid catching dear old Lilette Dubey with her sari pallu down. Frown.

So there you are kicking yourself for wandering into Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terrors. But hey, what did you expect? A masterpiece? Well, even those who go with zilch expectations are likely to curse the moment they bought a ticket for this Puttarnama directed by Lucky Kohli (not lucky for the audience) and Rajesh Bajaj.

Imagine it took two to bang-o this blather which cadges its premise, rather late in the day, from Home Alone (1990). Keep your fingers crossed that Macaulay Culkin doesn’t tour India soon. He’d flip. And flap.

Okay, so you stepped into Pitter Puttar strictly in the line of duty, watched this mirthless stuff and have guesstimated that obviously someone or the other in Britain had stacks of euros to blow up on this tide of terrors, set in a B-grade manor. Immediately, you meet Sarika (trying to look interested), Boy Zain Khan in the title role and the aforementioned Liletteji trying to be Padma Khanna of yore. Or make that Jayshree T.

This isn’t SO bad. Wait till you encounter (three or was it four?) Brit babes breaking into a very scary Bollywood number. In addition, there are a couple of Brit kids who think they’re in a school play, a spiked hair chap more slippery than gel, a girl with asthma (look what Cheeni Kum did to Swini Khera). And there’s a moppet who appears out of the blue and vanishes as if he suddenly disapproved of the script. Smart.

Among the adults count Saurabh Shukla in a fright Diana Ross wig, and Vijay Raaz, expressionless as if were in a trance. Jackie Shroff drops by to guzzle a few pink gins and goes ho-ho-ho like Santa Claus (too early). Hari Puttar’s dad (Greying Hair) is in a jungle talking about delicious chips which have more to do with computers than with French fries. And you just can’t miss an Ajit mimic, wearing only one blue contact lens, implying that there wasn’t enough budget for the other. Eye say.

There’s no plot really except for the fact that Vijay Raaz gets something like last year’s yellow porridge dumped on his head. Meanwhile bewigged Saurabh Shukla keeps passing wind (stink stink). And you certainly can’t miss an elderly man in a garbage collector’s uniform who announces that his son hasn’t met him in ages. Very understandable that.

In the technical department, the ‘live’ animation interludes are okay. The music is nothing to dance about. Oi, but composer Adesh Srivastava performs an item number, presumably because Malaika Arora-Khan couldn’t spare the dates. To be honest, these are more words than this putter-patter deserved. So here’s closing quickly with the recommendation -- no, no, no, no, no, never.

What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) return as partners on the Miami Tactical Narcotics Team in director Michael Bay's (PEARL HARBOR, ARMAGEDDON) sequel to the 1995 blockbuster BAD BOYS. Car chases and shoot outs are daily occurrences as the two try to track down a big time Ecstasy dealer. The trail leads to Johnny Tapia (Jordi Mollá) a Cuban immigrant who runs the biggest drug cartel on the East Coast. The stakes are raised when Marcus discovers that his sister, Syd (Gabrielle Union), an agent for the Drug Enforcement Agency, is working undercover trying to bust Tapia as well. And to further complicate matters, Syd and Mike have become involved romantically and are keeping it a secret from Marcus. Jam-packed with massive explosions, wild chase scenes, and flying bullets, this wild ride is filled with action and violence. Smith is charming as the quick-tempered, fast-talking Mike, and Lawrence is his ideal counterpart as the stressed-out Marcus, who resorts to therapy tricks to keep calm. Joe Pantoliano reprises his role as Captain Howard, who is continually traumatized by the trail of wrecked cars and damage his boys leave behind after a chase.

Theatrical release date: April 2, 1999. THE MATRIX won three Academy Awards: Achievement in Film Editing, Sound, and Visual Effects (beating out STAR WARS EPISODE 1: THE PHANTOM MENACE). In each category, the winners quoted a line from the film. The Wachowski brothers got their start at Marvel Comics, where they wrote dialogue for Clive Barker's HELLRAISER. They eventually trained for more than five months (October 1997-March 1998), primarily because the actors and the Wachowskis wanted to limit the use of stunt doubles in the picture; the directors wanted the audience to see that the actual actors were performing the stunts. Each actor had their own kung fu master on the set. Neo is an anagram for "One." The Wachowskis named Neo’s alter ego Thomas, for the biblical Doubting Thomas. SIMULACRA AND SIMULATION, Jean Baudrillard’s theoretical text concerning culture, reality, and simulation, is the title of the book Neo uses to keep his contraband. Carrie-Anne Moss sprained her ankle during the filming of the federal lobby scene but told no one at the time, even though she was unable to walk the next day. Moss appeared in the 1993 television show MATRIX, about a hit man working for the underworld. A musical theater piece by the Live Bait Theater group in Chicago (the Wachowski brothers’ hometown) called NEO: A MATRIX MUSICAL ran in May 2000. Producer Joel Silver called THE MATRIX "the first film of the new millennium." Talking about the making of the film, Fishburne compared the brothers Wachowski to the Brothers Grimm in their ability to tell fairy tales. Weapons expert Rock Galotti taught the cast how to realistically hold and shoot all the weapons in the film.

In FINAL DESTINATION 2, the basic notion of cheating mortality is further refined with an even more gripping plot provided by Eric Bress & J. Mackye Gruber, the duo behind the film BLUNT. Director David R. Ellis revels in film as an entertainment vehicle and the result is a no-holds-barred raucous good time. Ellis' background as a stuntman and stunt coordinator helps him build electric suspense through a chain of seemingly simple actions that in fact loaded and lethal. In the original, FINAL DESTINATION, a group of students avoided the tragic crash of Flight 180 when Alexander Browning had a premonition. Death, however, didn't like being outwitted, and one by one the survivors died in freak accidents. The sole survivor was Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) who voluntarily checked into a padded room at Stonybrook Institute. FINAL DESTINATION II takes place on Flight 180's one-year anniversary. Kimberly Corman (A.J. Cook) is joyriding with some friends on Route 23 when she "sees" herself, her friends, and other drivers involved in a massive multi-car pileup. The scene is so artfully executed, it physically hurts to watch. She and police officer Thomas Burke (Michael Landes) save a group of people who would have otherwise died in the crash. But, as ever, death approacheth, taking the likes of Evan (David Paetkau), the Trans Am-loving lottery winner who puts up a good fight but is ultimately impaled on a fire escape ladder; and Tim (James Kirk), who almost chokes to death at the dentist and is later flattened by a piece of industrial glass. Clear Rivers busts out of the psych ward to help the remaining survivors pool their efforts and read the signs of impending death before it claims their lives.

Penumbra Black Plague 2008

When last we left Philip, the protagonist of last year's first-person horror adventure Penumbra: Overture, he had just been knocked out cold in a dank underground lair. This sudden cliffhanger was just about the only truly annoying moment in Frictional Games' freshman effort, though, because the Swedish developer did yeoman work setting up both a macabre mood and puzzles rooted in the real world. Now, the series comes to a close with Penumbra: Black Plague, a superb sequel that continues with the creeps and common-sense conundrums.

As with Overture, the biggest selling point in Black Plague is the physics-dependent design. The Lovecraft-influenced story about a young man investigating an underground base in Greenland--apparently contaminated with some sort of infection--is decidedly weird, but not nearly as original as the puzzle design. Everything in the game is based on real-world logic, but not the Bizarro World nonsense that dominates traditional adventure games. All of the problems here are tied to accurate physics and environments that are packed with objects that can be directly manipulated. There are no pixel hunts, no running around to pull a dizzying succession of levers, no directing laser beams at mirrors, and no slapping tape on a cat to make a moustache. Here you simply explore spooky underground settings to try to escape by picking up and sliding around boxes, rocks, chairs, crates, flares, or other sorts of detritus.

Every action you take is modeled on real-life movements. To open a drawer, you've got to use the mouse to click on the handle and then pull the mouse back to mimic sliding it open. Doors are opened the same way, with a click and a pull. Throwing a switch is accomplished by grabbing it with the cursor and then sliding the mouse downward. Wheels are turned by rotating the mouse. These sorts of motions can be a touch finicky at times, especially when hauling around long objects, such as planks or shelves, that get too easily snagged on doorways and walls, but they do a fantastic job of underlining the reality of your situation. Philip's body is even a part of the simulation because you have to be careful not to step on objects that you're trying to drag. Unlike so many other first-person games where you're basically just a formless mass behind a camera, here your character has real presence.

Puzzles are similarly realistic. Rather than collecting bits of random junk as in a typical adventure, you deal with situations as they come, utilizing only objects at hand to solve problems. This switch can actually be awful tricky to deal with if you're an adventure-game veteran. It's hard to believe that all of the tools needed to get past a barrier like a locked door are laid out in front of you so clearly. So you can spend many minutes crawling around looking for the trick or gimmick that bars your way in traditional adventure games, never realizing that the first step to a solution here is often as simple as picking up a rock to smash open a door, throwing a plank over an abyss, or ripping a wire out of a circuit box to kill the power that is keeping a door locked. You still need to take a good look at your surroundings for hints and MacGyver your way through a lot of locked doors, but there are no ridiculous leaps of logic. Anyone with a dash of patience and a pinch of common sense should be able to finish the game without recourse to a walkthrough.

This true-to-life design also makes Black Plague damn scary. With everything so rooted in reality, it's easy to lose your sense of place and feel like you're really stuck deep underground. The visuals are a few years behind the times, although in some ways, this actually enhances the grimy look of your subterranean prison. Also, most of the textures are reasonable, given that they're not pushed to depict anything more sophisticated than rusty walls and bloodstained floors. Because you spend all of your time fumbling around in the dark, anyhow, audio is more important than the visuals. Black Plague delivers here, with sparse sounds like distant whispers and rattling that could either be right beside you or far off in the distance. Atmospheric effects and music are just disorienting enough to keep you on edge at all times.

All of the irritating cheese from Overture has been stripped away too. Both combat and stealth mechanics have been pretty much entirely eliminated from the game. You can still fight when necessary and duck into the shadows to dodge enemies. But there are no more frustrating dealings with patrolling dogs and no need to try to swing a pickaxe into a skull. The latter is most welcome because the decidedly unfriendly battle interface from the first game made the occasional scrap with those demon dogs a real pain. You do run into hostile creatures every so often, although these occasions are few and far between. Gruesome sentries show up just often enough to maintain tension. Hiding out for a few moments is generally all that's required to ditch baddies, which leaves you alone to deal with puzzles for the most part.

The one big drawback with Black Plague is that it ends rather abruptly. Any experienced adventure gamer can wrap the game up in four or five hours, which makes it a little too brief even for its bargain-bin price tag. Such brevity and a dissatisfying conclusion might be more forgivable if a third Penumbra was on the way, but this sudden finale is a bit annoying given that this is the end of the line for the series. Nevertheless, Black Plague is fun while it lasts and definitely recommended for anyone who enjoyed the first game.

Xbox Backup Creator(info), a tool that will allow you to easily dump, create/patch and burn Xbox and Xbox 360 images with full support for SS, DMI and PFI.

Hardware Requirements:
Processor: Something within the last 3 years should be fine. I use a P4 3GHz with 1GB Ram
Ram: The application currently used a 20MB write buffer, shouldn’t be a problem on current machines.
Drives: A DVD+R Double Layer burner that supports a Buffer Underrun Technology.

PC DVD Samsung SH-D162C with Kreons modified firmware (PC DVD Drive)**
Xbox 360 Samsung TS-H943A with Xtreme compatible firmware, v1, v2 or v3.
Xbox 360 Hitachi GDR-3120L with Xtreme compatible firmware with OPA v2.1***

OS Requirements:
Windows NT platform with NTFS file system (because file sizes are 4+ GB) Windows XP SP2 is preferred, Vista has not been tested. If there is enough interest I may support Win9x by way of creating file sets within FAT32 limits. An ASPI driver will also be required. (ASPI already supported)

Application Use:
It should be pretty straight forward. Read your disk then write it to a blank DVD+R DL. Since this application is not multi-threaded, please do not disturb it while writing.

After inserting a disk it may take a few seconds for it to be recognized. If it does not populate and enable the buttons after more than 30 seconds press CTRL-R to force a refresh.

Remember, you must use one of the supported drives for READING Xbox disks. The drive will ALSO need the modified firmware. A lot of people were confused about this. You cannot just pop the Xbox disk into your burner to make a backup.

This app doesn’t support making a backup of a backup. Find another way, its easy.

If your burner doesn’t automatically set the book type to DVD-ROM for DVD+R DL then you must set the booktype before writing using the appropriate bitsetting app for your burner. Some of the newer Xbox drive firmwares get past this requirement.

Known Issues or Errors:
If your disk isn’t recongized with in 20 seconds, press CTRL-R to force a refresh
May have display issues with some locale settings, not really tested.
Writing doesn’t support all burners, I hope that it has improved though!
Session Fixation Errors are usually due to media and/or burner firmware.
Optimum Power Calibration failures are usually due to low quality media.
Invalid Write Address failures are usually due to low quality media.

You may get a DeviceIoControl error with a Sense error of “0/00/00″, I don’t have a good answer but, some people have reported success by reinstalling updated Sata drivers. Also another method that may work is to use the Nero ASPI driver instead of SPTI.

During the write initialization you may encounter “Power On, or Bus Device Reset occurred” I have not been able to figure out the root of this or the proper method of recovery. If you happen to know, please fill me in on the secret.

Supported Backup Images:
Xtreme style disk images version 1-3. wxRipper support may be added at a later date. The application will only build version 3 style images. I don’t see the need to add the complication of the version 1,2 types. This is because the data is outside the readable LBA range to the Xbox and the older firmwares will just not use the extra DMI and PFI sectors. The Security Sector is in the same position across versions.

Xbox Versions:
Xbox 360: Xbox 360 disks and Xbox One disks! Xbox One: Not supported, previous version was making the ISO incorrectly and I haven’t had time to fix yet. Hopefully next major release.

I will do my best to keep current and add requested features, feel free to contact me with ideas, compatibility issues or bug reports. I ask of you to please not use the forums to talk about your adventures in pirating.

My personal belief is that making a backup of property you purchased is within your rights. Of course not everyone shares this opinion and you should use common sense and do not distribute or download backup disk images. You can view Microsoft’s statement on piracy at the link below.

Installation:
This application requires the Visual Basic 6 sp6 runtimes, included if you need them These is also a dependency on MSCOMCTL.OCX, included in the msi setup package. Hopefully you can just run the exe! Use the Setup Package if you need it. If you are upgrading from a previous version, you should be able to just copy the executable and run it. If you decide to run the installer, uninstall the previous through Add/Remove Programs.

R-Drive Image is a potent utility providing disk image files creation for backup or duplication purposes. A disk image file contains the exact, byte-by-byte copy of a hard drive, partition or logical disk and can be created with various compression levels on the fly without stopping Windows OS and therefore without interrupting your business. These drive image files can then be stored in a variety of places, including various removable media such as CD-R(W)/DVD, Iomega Zip or Jazz disks, etc.

R-Drive Image restores the images on the original disks, on any other partitions or even on a hard drive’s free space on the fly. To restore system and other locked partitions R-Drive Image is switched to the pseudo-graphic mode directly from Windows or bootable version created by the utility is launched from CD disc or diskettes.

R-Drive Image is one of the best backup and disaster recovery solutions to prevent losing your data after a fatal system failure.

Using R-Drive Image, you can completely and rapidly restore your system after heavy data loss caused by an operating system crash, virus attack or hardware failure. You can also use R-Drive Image for mass system deployment when you need to setup many identical computers. In other words, you can manually setup one system only, create an image of the system, and then deploy it on all other computers, saving your time and costs. If you need to restore only certain files from a disk image, you can connect that image as a virtual disk and copy those files directly from the disk image using Windows Explorer or any other file utility.

* A simple wizard interface - no in-depth computer management skills are required.
* On-the-fly actions: Image files are created on-the-fly, no need to stop and restart Windows. All other disk writes are stored in a cache until the image is created. Data from image files are restored on-the-fly as well, except on a system partition. * USB 2.0 devices support in the pseudo-graphic mode. With hard drives prices constantly going down, an external IDE-USB 2.0 HDD case with an appropriate hard drive is an ideal (fast and reliable) solution for notebooks and sealed PCs to backup system and other partitions that can be restored only in the pseudo-graphic mode.
* Bootable version. Special bootable disks (either 2 floppy disks or one CD) can be created to restore data to the system partition.
* Individual files and folders restoration. A disk image can be connected as a read-only virtual drive and its content can be viewed and copied.
* Image files splitting. Drive images can be split into several files to fit a storage medium.
* Image Protection. Disk image files can be password-protected and contain comments.
* File system conversion. The file system of the restored disk can be converted to another one (FAT16 to FAT32 and vise versa.).
* New partition creation. Data from a disk image can be restored on a free (unpartitioned) space on any place on a hard drive. The size of the restored partition can be changed.
* Partition replacement. Data from a disk image can be restored on other existing partitions. R-Drive Image deletes such partitions and restores data on that free space.
* Disk to Disk copy. An entire disk can be directly copied on another one.
* Image files verification. You may check if your image files are good before you store them or restore data from them.
* Scheduler. A time for disk image creation may be scheduled and the process can be run in unattended mode.
* Script creation for frequent or unattended actions. Such scripts for creating an image file and appending data to an existing image file are created from the R-Drive Image interface the same way the actual action is performed.
* Action Report. When disk image is successfully created or the action fails the report can be automatically sent over e-mail or an external application can be launched.

New R-Drive Image features in version 4.x :

* Windows Vista and 64 bit processors support. New R-Drive Image version supports all Windows Vista operating systems and 64 bit processors.
* Acceleration of image creation and disc copy operations. Asynchronous I/O and distributed the zlib compression library were added among different processors. As a result, users can see up to 200% speed gains in image creation and disc copy operations.
* Differential image creation. When the incremental/differential backup is being created, the differential image can be created by comparing the current data with the 128-bit hash of the original data without reading the main image. That speeds up the process of creating the incremental/differential image in any case, but also no need to change the original discs when writing the image to CD/DVD discs.
* Incremental image creation mode. In the previous versions the differential mode was available only.
* A bootable module can be written to a CD/DVD disc together with the image data. Thus it is possible to create one CD/DVD disc to boot and to restore the system.
* Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) support. In order to create a point-in-time snapshot of a database, the servers like Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL and Oracle are notified before backup process begins. The technology allows synchronizing the servers’ database and creating the correct copies of quick-changeable data.
* Dynamic Disks and BSD slices support. Dynamic disks and BSD slices can be backup, restored and copied. The feature is supported in both Windows and bootable versions of R-Drive image. You may create an image of one disk or a volume of any type and then restore the image back to a dynamic or basic disk.
* A flexible control over CD/DVD writing. That allows limiting the writing speed and cashing in the ISO file.
* Improved file format of the image created by the application.
* Writing to NTFS partitions. Now the R-Drive Image bootable version (based on the Linux kernel) supports writing to NTFS partitions as well as R-Drive Image Windows version.

Instructions to Activate Diskeeper: (for Windows Vista with or without SP1)

1. Run the setup to install diskeeper. (Do Not shut down diskeeper after installing!).
2. Open Diskeeper and go to Action > Enter License Key. Run the keygen & click on Generate Key. Enter the License Key generated by the Keygen.
3. Do Not close the Keygen!
4. Now shut down diskeeper. (Stop the Diskeeper Service with Task Manager).
5. Copy the cracks to the install folder of diskeeper (C:/Program Files/Diskeeper Corporation/Diskeeper)
6. Type Services.msc in the Run command to start diskeeper service again.
7. Open Diskeeper and select the option "Activate Manually" (doesn't require internet).
8. Click on Generate Code and copy the code to the activation box.
9. Click on Activate.
10. Finally click on OK. (diskeeper will restart and it'll be activated!)

Note: Disable UAC (go to control panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control on or off option and uncheck Use User Account Control to disable it) before installing diskeeper.
